When it comes to what we NEED to put into our body, there is usually a brick wall standing ten feet high blocking the line of sight between our needs and our wants. We all want to eat right, be in shape, and live a long time. Our diet plays a huge role in our life. How do you feel when you wake up in the morning? Sluggish? Energized? How well did you sleep the night before? Do you have headaches after a long day of work? Although other factors do contribute to these daily tasks, our diet plays a huge role in answering these questions and many more. At a minimal calorie level, it is recommended that we have one cup of fruit, one cup of vegetables, three ounces of grains, two ounces of beans, and two cups of milk daily according to the USDA. Unfortunately, following this strict guideline hasn’t worked out too well for a good number of people.
